Job Update

I told you I'd keep you posted. So here's the news -- no job.

After waiting nervously Monday through Wednesday, then consoling myself and coming to terms with my disappointment on Thursday through today, I finally received an email in my Inbox today saying(among other things. . . ):

Thank you for your interest in working at Aspen Grove this summer and for taking the time to interview with members of our management staff. As a management, we find it difficult each year to hire students from such an excellent pool of applicants. Due to the large number of students who applied for jobs at Aspen Grove and the limited positions we have available for this season, we are unable to offer you a camp position at this time.

So.. now I know.. I'm a little disappointed, but I'm actually taking it better than I thought I would. Perhaps there are even bigger and better things for me to do this summer that I don't even know yet! The only thing really troubling me is what I should do instead. Go home or stay in Provo? That's one important decision that will have to wait till after my jam-packed week.  (Speaking of which, I would like to take the time to wish Alexa K. and other college students everywhere else a HAPPY SPRING BREAK! I will be plugging away in Provo so I really hope you have enough enjoyment for the two of us!)

  1. I'm sure this "missed opportunity" will become a blessing of some kind like you said.

  3. Man, I am sorry about not getting that job you wanted. I was somewhat planning on you being around this summer. But on the bright side there are other opportunities out there, you are only a sophomore so you have plenty of time to build a resume, and other jobs will give you WAY more flexibility.
