This weekend was General Conference!
I feel bad because I don't feel like I super prepared for conference,
so many of my amazing insights will have to come from the Ensign!
However, I did catch a couple of sweet things that I thought I'd share:

Although I couldn't tell for sure, I'm pretty sure every apostle's got their own dish!
I just had never noticed this before and I thought it was interesting.

Those are some of my conference highlights! But on a more spiritual note --
anybody have suggestions on a favorite talk that I should read first?
I really liked Elder Holland's talk and Elder utchdorf's too. As for the candy. I bet it is to keep them awake... Luis says when they are in their training all day Thursday and Friday they have candy everywhere, on all the tables, and they just chalk them full of sugar. We determined it was to help them stay awake in warm rooms on soft chairs for hours and hours each day.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dawn about the candy. I saw Elder Utchdorf yawn right before the Sunday afternoon session. :) Anyway, I really liked the first two talks on Saturday, Elder Packer and Sister Esplin I think. They were about kids and how hold a new born baby is really special. It got me thinking about the not too distant future!
