Realization #3: Remember in this post where we laughed together about my flash-induced lazy eye? Turns out I was lying to myself! I'VE GOT A LAZY EYE ALL THE TIME. Upon seeing the picture below, one of my very first thoughts was I need to start parting my hair on the other side so that it doesn't accentuate the lazy-eye syndrome that is my face!! Does anyone out there even think that will help?!? What's a girl with a lazy eye to do?
Realization #4: Sometimes things you look forward to are even better than you imagined! Like going to a food truck downtown with my co-workers and having the most wonderful time in the world! It started raining just as we were leaving work, so I prayed a quick pray that it would stop. PRAYER ANSWERED. Then we followed our GPS to the address the Waffle Bus's twitter indicated and BOOM-BA-DA-BING - we arrived to the location to find not just ONE food truck BUT SEVERAL food trucks! I seriously was freaking out! It was like a food truck utopia. As we were approaching the Food Truck Utopia a man called out to us: "Try the lobster rolls if you go to (dirty-named food truck)!" It was a food truck community! People coming together sharing tips on where to eat - so sweet! We ordered our food - I followed my southern appetite to the chicken and waffles, while my friend instead got the Vietnamese-fusion chicken tacos. We drove back to work jamming to a few of our current favorites including "Turn Down For What" you should all give the clean version a listen - it's a pretty good car-dancing song. Then ate our food together - it was actually delicious until I got to a weird part of the chicken - y'all know how I am about chickens - but the brightness of the rest of the day definitely out-weighed the weird chicken parts! It was seriously one of the best lunch breaks I've ever had!

#1 - it sounds like you belong in Texas, the land of eating people. Go on and take those pictures. #2 I am def going to have to check out this website. I would love to take on a new hobby (But let's be realistic for one sec here - I'm already failing at learning spanish and I don't think my self-esteem can handle more self induced failure). #3 Do you at all worry about offending people who actually have lazy eyes? Or do you really believe you have a lazy eye? Maybe you should try some face exercises, a little PT for those weak muscles. Or maybe just spend a few hours in the mirror studying your angles till you find the best one. You know those girls who post selfies everyday and they are always at the exact same angle - it's because they have a lazy eye if they take it from any other angle. #4 I'm no expert but I think food truck communities aren't that peculiar in cities. But I'm super glad you had an awesome time. Maybe we can car dance together soon although after watching the music video from Turn Down For What I don't know if I can dance to it.
ReplyDeleteSo jealous of all the different foods you get to eat!
