Goodbye everything that I've ever known!

Hello Aspen Grove!

I just moved into Aspen Grove. I met my roommate Jeremy. She's nice. She's from Henderson, Nevada.

I left my sister and her baby in the hotel room as my mother drove me here, my sister's words of encouragement (among other much much better advice): "Are you going to be okay up there?" My mother is a little nervous for me.

To tell the truth I'm a little nervous for me too, but for the most part I just wanted to get started. I want to see what this summer is going to entail, and so I can't wait to go to bed tonight and wake up tomorrow morning to start CPR, and then the next day organize my structured plan for four-year-olds (anyone with any advice about four-year-olds -- fill free to share!) I can't say that I'm excited quite yet, but I'm sure I will get there soon, and you can bet I'll blog about to keep you all updated!

Just for kicks and giggles, I thought I'd post these pictures here -- last week I drove home (BY MYSELF), and I was able to spend one afternoon with these lovely ladies. They are some of my best friends, and I'm excited to see them again sometime because we've all got exciting plans for the summer. It's our very first summer all separated, (Alexa in Powell, Darcee in Fiji, Chelsea in Provo) so I'm excited to see how everything turns out for us all!

Some of my besties!
Who looks like they just got their wisdom teeth out?
(Two in the above picture did -- and I'm not one of them!)
WISH ME LUCK!

  1. Awesome! Congratulations on the new job! I think you'll do amazing things with those 4-year-olds and that they'll love you. If you need a recommendation, I'll have Mary write it since she's five and knows from experience how awesome you are as demonstrated by the fact she never wants to leave you alone when we visit :). This is going to be a positive turing point - you wait and see - and when you look back, you'll be so grateful you didn't pass it up.
