I've got visitors this week...

AND I COULDN'T BE MORE EXCITED!

Some of you may remember that I bought Taylor Swift tickets months ago and convinced both of my lovely sisters and my mother to come with!

So the week has finally arrived! Taylor Swift is coming which is exciting, but even more so my mom, my sister, and my lovely niece Aubrey are on their way as I write this!

I could probably be more excited for Taylor -- but probably not for my other visitors. I can't wait till they get here! 

I'll try to put up some pictures of our concert and other familial adventures -- so stay tuned reading audience!

I'm a HERO (again)!

Ladies and Gentlemen -- I've done it again! I donated my blood and saved 3 lives. -- Talk about giving of myself right?! It was another wonderful experience! My phlebotomist was an older lady this time so I assumed that meant better. She wasn't terrible, but I'm not quite convinced she was better.  There is a bit more of a bruise this go around and it hurt a bit more than I remembered. 

The bruise I'm speaking of is the large purple spot to the right. The small spot to the left next the line is where she actually stuck me!

But she was very nice so maybe that makes the difference. I wasn't quite as fast this time -- in the 6 minute range to get one pint of blood out. At one point, my blood flow actually slowed down/almost stopped. My phlebotomist started pumping the vein around where the needle was inserted and said things like "Don't you dare do that!" -- in an intense way. I felt like I was watching a soap opera starring my own arm -- my vein was flat-lining! Thank goodness that phlebotomist was there to save the day. 

I think I can improve upon my last hero experience because I took an undercover photo -- from the front lines!

2. My Camera -- which suffered a tragic fall during one of the last days of camp. .. So pictures on this here blog may be scarce for the next few months.. Hopefully Santa can do something to remedy this situation. (hint. hint.)
3. My Life -- School has started. I'm taking 14 credits. I'm working 20 hours. So.. we'll see how often I get a social life. ... Assuming I'll actually make friends in my new ward. 
4. The Water in my apartment -- New management at the Riv has been working on updating their image.. Spending money on things that I personally think are a waste of money when I realize that they provide no microwave and no desk (don't worry though it's being taken care of by others!) .. One of their project though unexpectedly took away our water from 5:00 when I got home to 1:00 the next morning. ... It's a little annoying, and Stacey and I decided to go to the library until right before bed time so that we could brush our teeth and go to the bathroom. So... thank you Riv Management for your part in my adventurous evening two night ago.
